Fruitful Contributions

Matthew – (25:14-30) – “Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his wealth to them.

Author : Evangelist Daniel Sushanth.

Jesus used parables, including the Parable of the Talents, to teach important lessons. It’s crucial to understand the meaning of talent and what the Holy Bible says about it.

In the parable from Matthew, 25:14-30, a man entrusts his servants with his possessions before going on a journey. He gives five talents to one servant, two talents to another, and one talent to another. When the master returns, the first two servants have doubled their talents through trading, while the third servant buries his talent and takes no action. As a result, the master rewards the first two servants for their faithfulness and punishes the third servant for his laziness and disobedience.

Among the three servants, the wise and sincere individuals are believed to be the ones who traded and multiplied their talents. These diligent servants were commended by the master, who expressed satisfaction with their faithfulness in managing small matters. As a result, the master pledged to elevate their responsibilities, granting them authority over a multitude of tasks and inviting them to partake in his joyous state.

The servant who buried his talent was punished, and it was given to the servant with ten talents. The parable emphasizes following the master’s voice, using our talents to contribute to the kingdom of heaven.

Using our talents means more than traditional religious roles. It can involve tasks like chauffeuring, cooking for fellowship, or sharing Bible stories with children. The possibilities are vast. It’s important to contribute to the kingdom of God instead of engaging in gossip or slander.

Let us utilize our abilities in a productive way to bear fruit for the Kingdom of God. It’s important to make the most of our limited time and strive to be a valuable asset rather than a hindrance. Take action now, without expecting acknowledgment or admiration from others. Keep in mind that our goal is to make a positive impact on the Kingdom of God.

Bear fruit for the Kingdom of God, utilize abilities productively, make the most of limited time, be valuable, take action without expecting acknowledgment, and make a positive impact.

Throughout history, many talented individuals have contributed to the kingdom of God. Here are a few examples.

Mother Teresa was a Catholic nun who dedicated her life to serving the poor and sick in India. She founded the Missionaries of Charity, an organization that operates hospices and homes for people with HIV/AIDS, leprosy, and tuberculosis.

Florence Nightingale, during the Crimean War, known as “The Lady with the Lamp,” made rounds at night to tend to wounded soldiers. Her nursing work during this time was instrumental in improving hygiene and living standards, leading to a significant reduction in death rates.

Prayer: Our Heavenly Father, Thank you for entrusting us with talents and abilities. Help us to use them wisely and faithfully to contribute to your kingdom and bring glory to your name. May we not be lazy or disobedient but actively seek ways to serve and make a positive impact. Show us the areas where we can use our talents to serve others and be a blessing. May we follow your voice and instructions and use our gifts to glorify you and build your kingdom. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.

Be a part of our journey!

Follow, engage, and share the light.

Let’s spread positivity, encouragement, and hope together.
