Prayer Post Boxes

John 14:13 -Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son

Author : Evangelist Daniel Sushanth.

The establishment of the Royal Mail in Great Britain in 1516 marked the inception of the first modern public postal service. Initially created to fulfil government purposes, the Royal Mail later extended its services to include private correspondence as well.

In the past, sending postal letters overseas required purchasing stamps based on weight and sealing them with glue. Delivery often took about a month and relied on the postal system for confirmation of arrival. Technology advancements have revolutionized international communication, eliminating slow and inefficient processes and enabling instant communication, media sharing, and virtual face-to-face interactions.

The postal service continues to play a vital role in accurately delivering letters and packages to intended recipients, which was even more challenging in the past when manual processing without computer support was the standard.

While physical post boxes may not exist for sending prayers to God, supplication serves as a means of communication with Him. Given the world’s population surpassing eight billion people, we can easily envision an immense volume of supplications being sent to God each day, wherein individuals seek His guidance and assistance.

Jesus acts as a mediator between God and us, interceding for us and carrying our prayers to God (Romans 8:34, Hebrews 7:25).

The phrase “In Jesus’ name” is used by believers to end prayers, signifying their authority and aligning their requests with God’s will. Praying in Jesus’ name acknowledges Jesus as the mediator between God and humanity. It expresses faith in him as Lord and Savior and seeks his intercession. Praying in Jesus’ name, as mentioned in John 14:13, is an important aspect of faith and seeking his help.

Prayer offers uninterrupted, lifelong, free service based on faith, rather than reliance on physical post boxes and post offices. Prayer reminds us of Jesus’ achievements and his role as a mediator between us and God, enabling direct communication with Him and access to Heaven.

Prayer: Our Heavenly Father, Thank you for the privilege to communicate with you through prayer. I pray that as I come before you, you will hear my supplication and guide me in your will. I ask for Jesus’ intercession on my behalf and for his authority and strength to cover every area of my life. I pray that I may always remember Jesus’ role as the mediator between us and you and seek his assistance and guidance. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
