Uncertainty of life

John-(17:3), Jesus defined eternal life saying, “This is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.”

Author: Evangelist Daniel Sushanth

Stories, whether from movies or real-life experiences, serve as reminders of the fragility and uncertainty of life. They emphasize that we are not in control and that our time on Earth is limited. Incorporating faith into our lives strengthens our relationship with God and gives us purpose and hope. Faith reminds us of something greater than ourselves and the eternal significance of our actions. Living out our faith brings comfort, knowing that we are not alone and that God is always guiding and supporting us.

In the documentary “Notes for My Son,” a mother facing a terminal illness writes a notebook for her son, grappling with the painful thought of not being there to witness his growth. Her story serves as a poignant reminder to rely on God and Christ as the authors of life, rather than relying solely on our own strength.

Another story: a father realizes the importance of teaching his son about Jesus when he is on the verge of dying. This story highlights the need for parents to impart faith to their children and prioritize spiritual guidance over worldly success. The father, realizing his failure, prays for help and shares the message of Jesus with his son, who accepts it and finds solace in the promise of eternal life despite his declining health.

And then there is Dolph Lundgren (portrayed the villain in the Rocky movie), who faced a life-threatening diagnosis and was given a limited amount of time to live. His experience teaches us the value of cherishing our lives and prioritizing our relationships with loved ones. It reminds us that, ultimately, our lives are in the hands of God, and that no amount of medical intervention can prolong or save us if it is not meant to be.

The stories we encounter, whether in movies or real-life experiences, can serve as powerful reminders of the fragility and uncertainty of life. May we cherish the gift of life and cultivate a deep foundation of faith that sustains us through every season.

In John 17:3, “When you know and have a personal relationship with God and Jesus, you can experience the complete and everlasting life
