1 Corinthians 3:2 – “I fed you with milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it”.
Author: Evangelist Daniel Sushanth
Many people aim to advance in various aspects of life, such as academics, sports, and their careers. Graduating to the next level during one’s Montessori days brings joy and anticipation for future challenges. However, the enthusiasm and dedication to spirituality are often lacking, with only a few individuals prioritizing and actively seeking spiritual growth. A significant portion of people have never read the entire Bible, and only a small number have opened it for personal reflection and prayer.
We must contribute to spiritual development and be authentic witnesses for God’s kingdom. Like football players on the field, we should be ready to actively participate in spiritual endeavours, demonstrating growth, virtues, and enthusiasm.
Taking a backseat before assuming a leading role can be beneficial. The author observed their talented artist cousins, drawing skills, then the author attempted and discovered his hidden talent. Similarly, when receiving gifts from the Holy Spirit, it is important to overcome fear and embarrassment and use them. Nobody starts off perfect, and in embracing the Christian faith, the author felt like a young, amateur Christian learning how to pray.
The author encourages individuals to embrace and use their talents for God’s glory, advising against letting them go to waste. The author shares their personal experience of overcoming shyness and fear by engaging in activities such as preaching in cottage prayers. He stressed the importance of taking initiative to find opportunities for using one’s talents, suggesting starting small by leading worship in family gatherings if unable to lead the church choir.
The author encourages believers to use their talents without being hindered by fear or lack of support, emphasizing that they should do it for God’s glory, not for human recognition. They urge readers to approach prayer, singing, and sharing God’s word with grace and a willing heart.
Initiate acts of prayer, singing, and sharing God’s Word with sincerity, allowing His love and compassion to flow through us. Engage with humility, understanding, and a desire to inspire others. Be vessels of God’s message of love and hope.
