Faith in action, Nehemiah’s example
Author :Evangelist Sushanth Daniel
Welcome to June! This month, may God’s grace rain upon you like never before! May every prayer be answered in His perfect timing. May every struggle turn into a testimony of His power. May every dream take flight on the wings of faith. And may favor chase you down like a flood!
Declare with me (Deuteronomy 31:8):
‘The Lord Himself goes before you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not fear!’
‘This is my month of divine acceleration! Doors no man can shut are opening for me. I walk in health, wealth, and wisdom because Christ lives in me!’
I claim this in Jesus’ name—Amen!
| Rebuilding Broken Walls – Faith in Action |
Today’s Bible Verse: Nehemiah 1:3-4
Unlock the Hebrew Truth:
- Wall (חוֹמָה) – Symbolizes protection, identity, and God’s covenant.
- Wept (בָּכָה) – Nehemiah’s grief moved him to prayer and action.
- Rebuild (בָּנָה) – A call to restoration—not just bricks, but faith and purpose.
The Crisis Before the Victory:
Jerusalem’s walls were rubble, her people shamed. But Nehemiah didn’t just mourn—he fasted, prayed, and acted. Opposition came, yet he declared: ‘The God of heaven will give us success!’ (Nehemiah 2:20).
- Start with Prayer – Nehemiah sought God’s favor first.
- Expect Opposition – Sanballat mocked Nehemiah, but God’s people kept working ‘with all their heart’.
- Work Together – Each family rebuilt a section. Unity accelerates miracles.
| Holy Spirit Conviction |
Is there a ‘broken wall’ in your life—a dream, relationship, or faith? God calls you to rebuild. Have you let ridicule 😒stop you? Nehemiah’s enemies ‘were furious’ but the wall rose anyway. Declare it now: ‘God, I will not quit! My hands are strong for Your work!’
Prayer:
‘Heavenly Father, like Nehemiah, I weep for what’s broken. Fill me with holy courage to rebuild. Silence every taunt of the enemy. Let my labor honor You, and let my life be a testimony of restoration. In Jesus’ name, Amen.’
Kingdom Promise: Isaiah 61:4
Prophetic Declaration: ‘Today, I break agreement with defeat! Every broken area in my life is being restored. I build with faith, not fear!’
Final Revelation: Nehemiah’s wall was finished in 52 days, a miracle of focus and faith. Your ‘impossible’ task is next. Share this with someone rebuilding their life!
Baruch Hashem.
Blessed be the Name of the Lord.
Shalom.
