In Loving Memory of Pope Francis (1936–2025)

Today, we mourn the passing of Pope Francis, the 266th pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church, who entered eternal rest on the morning of April 21, 2025, at the age of 88.

Born Jorge Mario Bergoglio in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Pope Francis made history as the first Latin American and Jesuit pope, elected in 2013. His papacy was marked by humility, compassion, and a tireless pursuit of justice, peace, and inclusivity. He was a shepherd to the marginalized, a voice for the voiceless, and a champion for the poor and oppressed.

Even amid health struggles, Pope Francis remained a beacon of hope, advocating for unity within the Church, interfaith dialogue, care for creation, and love over division.

As we reflect on his legacy, we give thanks to God for his life and leadership. Let us pray for the Catholic Church as it prepares for this next chapter, and for the faithful around the world who grieve the loss of a beloved spiritual father.

Even in the darkest moments, love gives hope.” – Pope Francis

Rest in peace, Holy Father. Your light will continue to shine in the hearts of millions.
